Chabad Chassidus is the deepest understanding of Torah—the infinite wisdom of G-d.
Now, Torah is a vast ocean. Studying it is a lifelong journey, and even then, you’re only dipping your toes into the Infinite. But for the purpose of this blog series—and your sanity—I want to offer a bold shortcut.
Let’s summarize the entire Torah into two core ideas.
Just two.But understood deeply, through the lens of Chassidus, these ideas are not just information. They’re transformation. They should shake the way you see everything—yourself, others, the world, even reality itself.
The Two Foundational Truths:
G-d — The Oneness of G-d“Ain Od Milvado” – There is nothing besides Him.
Not just in a poetic, spiritual, fluffy kind of way. Chassidus teaches this literally. Everything you see, feel, and experience is part of a single Divine reality. The world isn’t just created by G-d—it exists within G-d. Like a dream exists within the dreamer’s mind, so too, the universe exists only within G-d’s awareness.
Man — Man is created in the image of G-d“Chelek Elokah Mimaal Mamash” – The soul is literally a piece of G-d.
Your soul is not a spiritual bonus feature or a moral compass. It’s a Divine fragment, a spark of infinite light, an actual extension of the creator Himself. You are not a stranger to G-d. You are of Him. And that changes everything about what it means to be human.
These two truths—G-d is One, and at your core, you are a piece of G-d—aren’t just high-level theology. They are meant to penetrate the way you think, act, love, struggle, and dream. They are meant to alter your consciousness. They don’t just explain reality. They are meant to reveal it.
So here’s the big question:
